Take a deep dive into research.
Learn everything about your topic
Before you can write that book of yours, surely you need to do research.
There is always something else to learn. Learn all the things: That way you can never write anything and still claim to be a writer, right?
Read everything you can find about your subject
You will never have to do any actual writing if you never run out of books to read about your setting or genre. Not to mention the science and realism aspects of whatever you want your writing to be about.
In fact, as you might never do the writing, read all the books.
